Product Description
Microdosing refers to the practice of working with a small amount of a psychedelic substance without seeking the pronounced changes in consciousness associated with a full psychedelic dose.
Some people notice mild changes in mood, energy or awareness. Others experience very little in the moment and begin to recognise subtler shifts over time.
Mantra Microdoses are for people who want to approach psilocybin thoughtfully, as part of a wider practice of reflection and personal awareness.
The purpose is not to chase intensity. It is to create enough space to notice yourself more clearly.
If you have not taken psilocybin before, please complete the Mantra Client Intake Form before you begin. This allows us to identify any health, medication or safety considerations that may need to be discussed.
How to Work with Microdosing
Begin with a clear intention rather than a fixed expectation.
Before taking your first microdose, notice your current mood, sleep and energy. Pay attention to the patterns that have been occupying your mind and decide what you would like to understand more clearly.
On each dose day, begin with one question:
How do I want to show up today?
Then continue with your ordinary day.
Rather than searching for a dramatic effect, notice the smaller moments. Did you pause before reacting? Did you recognise tension in your body sooner than usual? Were you more willing to communicate honestly or make a different choice?
The days between doses are also part of the process. They allow you to observe what remains once the immediate experience has passed.
Mantra’s free Beginner’s Guide to Microdosing includes a complete Six Week Inquiry, with a different focus and set of reflective prompts for each week.
The Mantra Approach
At Mantra, we approach psilocybin with respect rather than urgency.
We honour the long relationship between people, mushrooms and healing while remaining honest about what modern research has established and what is still being investigated.
We do not see the capsule as the whole experience. Microdosing may create an opening, but intention and integration determine what you do with that opening.
The medicine meets your history, your nervous system and the circumstances of your life. This is why we encourage a defined period of inquiry, supported by honest reflection, rather than unconscious or continuous use.
Research and Context
Research into microdosing is developing quickly.
In one of the largest prospective studies of psilocybin microdosing, researchers followed 953 microdosers and 180 non-microdosing participants for approximately one month. The microdosing group showed small to moderate improvements in mood and mental health across age groups, genders and people with and without existing mental health concerns.
Placebo-controlled studies have confirmed that low doses can produce subjective effects and measurable changes in brain activity. They have not yet demonstrated consistent improvements in creativity, cognition, anxiety or depression when psilocybin microdoses are compared directly with placebo.
These findings suggest that the outcome is shaped by more than psilocybin alone. Expectation, personal history, environment and the practices surrounding microdosing may all influence the experience.
This does not make the reported benefits less meaningful. It reminds us that human healing is relational and that a capsule does not act in isolation from the person taking it.

Important Note
Microdosing is not appropriate for everyone.
Seek guidance from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before considering psilocybin if you:
- have a personal or close family history of psychosis or schizophrenia
- have experienced mania or live with bipolar disorder
- are pregnant or breastfeeding
- have epilepsy, uncontrolled high blood pressure or a significant heart condition
- take psychiatric medication or another medication that may interact with psilocybin
- are currently experiencing severe psychological distress
Lithium is of particular concern when combined with classic psychedelics. Do not combine the two without specialist medical oversight.
Never stop or reduce prescribed medication in order to microdose without consulting the clinician responsible for your care.
If you experience changes in perception, concentration or coordination, do not drive or undertake safety-sensitive work.
If this will be your first experience with psilocybin, complete the Mantra Client Intake Form before ordering.
Closing Line
This is an invitation to slow down, listen more closely and approach yourself with curiosity.
There is no need to force an outcome. Begin with care and allow the experience to show you what deserves your attention.
Pair With
Microdosing is most meaningfully paired with practices that support awareness and integration.
Consider combining your inquiry with journalling, time in nature, gentle movement or meditation. Prioritising sleep, nourishment and hydration can also make it easier to understand what you are experiencing.
Some people choose to include Lion’s Mane as part of their wider cognitive-wellness practice or Reishi to support rest and resilience. These should be understood as separate wellness choices. Current research has not established that either mushroom enhances the psychological effects of psilocybin microdosing.
Why We Work With This Mushroom
Psilocybin sits at the meeting point between longstanding human experience and a rapidly developing field of modern research.
We work with it because it can invite people into a more attentive relationship with themselves. Many people describe becoming more aware of their emotional patterns, creative impulses and physical needs.
We do not present microdosing as a cure or a guaranteed solution. We offer it as a structured opportunity for reflection, supported by education and access to personal guidance when needed.

Ritual Inspiration
The PIES Check-in
PIES is a simple practice that helps you notice how you are arriving each day.
Take a quiet moment and choose one word to describe how you feel:
- Physically
- Intellectually
- Emotionally
- Spiritually
Write down your four words each day.
Over time, these brief check-ins create an honest record of your inner experience. Patterns begin to emerge. You may recognise what leaves you feeling depleted, what brings you back to yourself and what your body has been trying to communicate.
Meet yourself where you are, rather than where you think you should be.
Integration is where insight becomes meaningful. A microdose is a moment in time. What changes your life is how you respond to what the moment reveals.
Cat offers one-to-one microdosing consultations, Strategic and Embodied Coaching, integration support and Reiki.
Connect with Cat on WhatsApp to discuss what is emerging and find the most appropriate form of support.
